My journey in the audio visual industry began as an amateur guitarist. This hobby led me to explore music production and recording, delving into the world of musical gear and equipment, both vintage and contemporary. Additionally, my stint as a film student sparked a deep interest in lighting and editing.
I’ve always been intrigued by the intricate components that drive modern media, which motivated me to study film. This path eventually led me to launch my own podcast, where I dedicated weeks to understanding microphone technology, lighting types and positioning, audio editing, and producing content that was pleasant to listen to. My interest also expanded into editing YouTube videos, producing a short film, and even directing a music video.
The onset of the pandemic abruptly ended my role as an escape room host, leading me to a position as a warehouse operative. Within a year, I familiarised myself with our product range and transitioned to the marketing department as a product and content writer.
Writing has always been a passion for me, a skill I honed while composing original songs and scripting my short film. Working in marketing, my knowledge of audio and lighting products intensified significantly.
After a year in marketing, I transitioned to the sales department. This shift marked a significant milestone in my career, one I hadn’t initially anticipated. I find great satisfaction in sharing my accumulated knowledge with customers, many of whom are where I once was. This role not only allows me to impart my expertise but also enriches my personal creative projects.
